Vehicle Description 1948 Lincoln Continental Convertible finished in Green paint with Tan convertible top.
Paint has been touched up in areas but overall nice shine to it.
Powered by the 292 Flathead V12 under the hood that is paired up with an automatic transmission, last year of the V12 Lincoln! That V12 is paired up with a manual transmission with overdrive.
Chrome and brightwork in great shape and shows well throughout the vehicle, looking great against the paint.
Spare tire in the back with spare tire cover, great look all around! Equipped with power windows and power top.
This will come with a notepad showing fluids that have been used with this vehicle also.
According to previous owner:
engine completely rebuilt and bored 0.
30 over, solid guides kit for intake/exhaust, reground cam, replaced hydraulic lifters, replaced crank and rear main seal kit, connecting rod bearing and main bearings, 12 new pistons and rings, overdrive was gone through, solenoids rebuilt, and the transmission was rebuilt as well.
Riding on steel wheels with beauty rings, Lincoln wheel covers, and wide white walls as well as rear fender skirts.
Camel vinyl bench seat interior with manual on the column.
Seats have been reupholstered along the line and in great shape.
Most of the gauges on the dash are reading correctly, may have to check if fuel gauge is correct.
Vacuum wipers work, still running on vacuum.
Camel fabric power convertible top is in working order and fits well, it is not the fastest but it will go up and down under its own power.
Convertible top also has a glass rear window and is free of of wear, looking good.
Starting sequence:
key in ignition and pull toward you, small switch located under the starter button is the fuel pump (left on, right off) turn that on, while in neutral hold in the clutch and push the starter button.
This is still running on a 6 volt system also.
